Welcome to our 3rd grade website! We are excited to have your child at Highland Elementary for the 2018-19 school year. We have created this website just for YOU!
About the Teacher page: Get to know a bit about your child's teacher.
Teacher E-mail page: Email your child's teacher directly from this site.
For the Parents page: Lots of information for you to view on this page.
This Week in 3rd Grade page: Changes weekly to reflect what your children are learning each week. Most subjects change by units of study. Others like spelling change weekly. There is also information for parents such as: important dates to remember, lunch menu, upcoming events, quick access to important websites, etc.
Parent Math Resources page: These posts will describe what is being taught in the classroom and some different methods we may be utilizing. Each teacher has her own way of teaching certain skills, so all methods will not always be viewed on this site. We will try to give you examples and sometimes games your child can play at home to help establish understanding of new skills. We are firm believers that the parent-teacher relationship is a partnership! We encourage and appreciate any additional help you provide your child with at home. As always, please email or call if you have any questions.
Links to Learning page: Lots of education links to explore and help your children learn.
